With Love Designs

Updated: Apr 2, 2021

Last week I introduced you to a mom who started her own business DURING a pandemic. This week? I have another brave and bold mom who, when the world was falling apart, jumped into a brand new adventure with both feet and her seven-year-old. Meet Laura Brock, owner and founder of With Love Designs.

"In March 2020 I was a Pre-k teacher, working from home and homeschooling my children. I broke my foot walking my dog around the neighborhood and needed some fun, yet stationary, activities to do with my children. So my daughter, Harper, and I started making bracelets."

Did you hear that? They just....started making bracelets.

Laura and Harper started giving them to friends and neighbors. So many people were asking to order the bracelets so she quickly started an Instagram page. Laura decided to call the brand "With Love Designs" which is inspired from the verse in the bible that says- "Be on guard. Stand firm in faith. Be courageous. Be strong. And do everything with love." (1 Corinthians 16:13-14). And then? The sales exploded and the mom and daughter team started adding new designs. Eventually, they got so busy that they needed a website. But get this, since one of the main goals of the brand "With Love Designs" is to do all things with love, they chose to give a percentage to a different charity each month. Laura and Harper enjoy connecting with customers and friends and learning about new and meaningful organizations that they can give back to. Their little 'let's just start making bracelets' idea has since grown into a full jewelry brand with bracelets, necklaces, mask holders (and earrings coming soon)!

How absolutely crazy is that?

"We ship all over the country, and recently started selling into stores. You can now find us in several stores around the Alpharetta and Roswell area, as well as in South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Indiana!"

How has Covid affected Live Love Designs? After talking to Laura and hearing her story, I wondered...if Covid never happened, would there even be a business? Laura tells me, "Not only has it provided us with time to allow for creativity and business development, but I really believe the pandemic has brought people together. People want to support and love each other, and I feel the support from our community every day." Now for our random Live Love Local question, If she were a superhero, what would her superpower be? Laura would definitely clone herself. It just seems like there is never enough time in the day to get everything accomplished. she'd be a teacher, entrepreneur, wife, mother and friend all at the same time! And she'd have cute jewelry on and doing it all with grace and style. You can find With Love Designs on the web here: With Love Designs Please like and follow WLD on IG here: INSTAGRAM
